Tinkers Hill produces an interesting range of quality cool climate wines. We are fortunate to have a reliable climate with good soaking rains over winter and spring. Followed by long warm, dry days of summer and autumn, ideal for ripening the grapes and allowing the flavours to develop fully. Our soil is made of decomposed granite and we use low impact viticultural methods. The vines are pruned to produce low yields thus ensuring full flavoured fruit. The grapes are handpicked and fermented on natural yeast using traditional winemaking methods. Finally they are left to mature in French oak.
