 Welcome to our new and exciting site. Tinkers Hill is a family owned vineyard and cellar door operated by James and Rhonda Taylor. You will find us nestled in the heart of Woolshed Valley, just out of Beechworth and surrounded by the Chiltern-Mt Pilot National Park. Our Cellar Door is the perfect place to take the time to relax with a glass of wine under the shady veranda on warm days or inside by the cosy wood fire in winter.
We are open every weekend between 11.00am and 5.00pm except for the months of July and August when we close for the winter holiday and in addition to the Tinkers Hill wines we also have for tasting wines from the Cirko-V winery. You may like to try our platter of local produce with a glass of wine, a pot of tea or a cup of great coffee. You are welcome to register with the site. Hi everyone,It’s time to deliver the seasonal winter pack of our four red wines to our club members. We hope you enjoy them, preferably with a cheese platter relaxing by a cosy wood fire. Tinker’s Hill wines can only be purchases at the cellar door or by contacting us and some Beechworth and Albury restaurants. We have had a great summer and autumn here at the cellar door with the Horseshoe Festival and the Harvest festival here in Beechworth. The autumn colours were magnificent.  Unfortunately though, James had a stroke last January and spent 2 months in Hospital in Melbourne. He is home now, progressing very well and back helping out at the cellar door. I am sure with his determination he will be back working in the vineyard soon. We owe a huge amount to our family, our neighbours and other friends in Beechworth for looking after the vineyard for the 2008 harvest. This will always be a very special vintage for us. We cannot thank them enough for their support.

The 2008 edition has just been released and Tinkers Hill scored five stars for our winery and five glasses for our Shiraz. A review we are very pleased with. One small correction we would like to make to our entry in the book is the name of the winemaker. Whilst David, who is mentioned in the book, is a fine winemaker our wines are made by Andrew Doyle a well known Beechworth winemaker. We have taken the liberty of correcting the entry for our web site.
